For 173 years, Tremont United Methodist Church has been a beacon of faith, hope, and service in the Bronx. Tracing its roots to the historic Methodist Episcopal circuits that served upper Manhattan and the Bronx, our congregation has faithfully proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ while responding to the spiritual and practical needs of our community.
Located at 1951 Washington Avenue, Tremont United Methodist Church is a proud congregation of the Metropolitan District of the New York Annual Conference and an active member of the Bronx Cooperative Parish. Throughout generations of change, our church has grown alongside the diverse communities of the Tremont neighborhood, remaining steadfast in its commitment to worship, discipleship, outreach, and compassionate service.
Today, we continue that legacy by welcoming all people to experience God's love through inspiring worship, meaningful fellowship, Christian education, community outreach, and opportunities to serve others.
